Baptist Health Paducah is a proud partner! This is an example of a workforce need and a dynamic partnership between an employer and a university (it just so happens to be MY employer and MY university). Nice.

This is such exciting news for our team. I know several of my colleagues have contributed a lot of energy and passion to launching this program with Greenlight. Congratulations to everyone - but mostly excited for our customers!

This is one of my very favorite quotes about communication strategy. I've used it in numerous presentations through the years. There is no doubt that in order to be a dynamic communicator, you have to evaluate your audience and their needs on a regular basis. We all learn differently. We all interpret information differently. By constantly evaluating not only the channels we are using but the actual structure of the content itself, we can continually improve the way we deliver information! The ultimate goal is...... 1) our message is clear and crisp and 2) our audience feels informed & trusts in our brand.

I've had the honor to serve on the United Way of Western Kentucky Board for seven years and just ended my year as Board President. It's truly been a blessing to work with so many dynamic leaders through the years. During our annual Victory Celebration, I was grateful to receive the Kentucky Colonel designation. I also had the distinct honor to hand out awards to servant leaders and companies who prioritize community service and contribute regularly to the "greater good". They all inspire me so much and I am grateful to be a small part of that important work. I am also grateful to my U.S. Bank leaders, Melissa Stevens and Jennifer Miller who support and encourage volunteer work. Leadership in action! You two are the best. And....to the Kentucky U.S. Bank leaders Darren Woodruff and Kellen Bergman for seeing the value in local and regional support of non-profit work. We appreciate you!

My husband hit a big milestone this past weekend! Proud of him & everyone who’s been part of his success. So many lessons in the field of coaching and playing that apply in the workplace. I would say that one of the top lessons from coaches and athletes would be; you win as a team and lose as a team but losing is FEEDBACK and offers a new opportunity to get better!

If you are a leader of any type of group - this should be table stakes. I would add....leaders should ask for feedback and truly be thoughtful about how to receive it & apply it. When everyone strives for improvement, EVERYONE wins.

Happy Monday, everyone. Create. Imagine. Test. Learn. Mistakes will come but growth will outpace mistakes ten to one. Have a great week!

I'm leading a summer book review next week on Atomic Habits by James Clear. Have you read it? A group of my colleagues started reading it in mid-June and we have a session scheduled for next week to discuss. If you've read it (and are willing to share), what would be some key insights you gleaned from the book? I'm working on discussion questions now and would love to incorporate your feedback/questions. #atomichabits #tinychanges #remarkableresults

The marketing/comms space is so subjective. We can slice and dice marketing strategy and debate what path is best but..... just a reminder, don't sleep on saying "thank you" to your customers. How many of you recently had an experience with a brand where a simple thank you was NOT part of their strategy/culture (or at least it wasn't apparent to you)? Be sure to make this part of your deepening strategy if you want to see your brand thrive. Personally, when I spend money with a business, it's nice to hear "thank you for choosing us" - you agree?

I’m so proud of my husband! He’s a servant leader and he loves coaching! He teaches high school science and is just as passionate about that too! He’s been blessed with amazing players, coaches and parents and this season was one for the books!
