Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are raising their two children - Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet - away from the spotlight and have shared just a few snaps of the youngsters

Princess Lilibet is celebrating her third birthday today and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be sure to take lots of pictures to remember the special day.

The Duke and duch*ess of Sussex hosted a party for their daughter at their Montecito mansion over the weekend which was attended by close friends and family. It's believed Meghan and Harry kept the guestlist small, with no members of the Royal Family present.

Fans will no doubt be hoping for a peak inside the special event as they wait for Meghan and Harry to share pictures. Until then, we've taken a look back at some of the cutest snaps in Lilibet's family photo album.

Meghan and Harry delighted fans on Valentine's Day in 2021 when they announced they were expecting their second child. Confirming the news, a spokesman for the couple said at the time: "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother.

"The Duke and duch*ess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child." The couple shared a beautiful black and white photo taken by friend and photographer Misan Harriman, showing Harry lovingly gazing at Meghan.

In making the announcement on February 14, they followed in the footsteps of Harry's mum, Princess Diana. Buckingham Palace announced Diana and the then-Prince Charles were expecting their second child on February 13, 1984, which meant the news was in the papiers on Valentine's Day.

Meghan wore a bright yellow dress during her pregnancy reveal with Lilibet and she recycled the outfit during her recent trip to Nigeria with Harry. Meghan wore the Carolina Herrera Yellow Silk Overlay Column Gown as she arrived at the State Governor House in Lagos.

Newborn Lilibet

Meghan and Harry shared a lot of family photos on their Netflix docuseries, including pictures of Lilibet as a newborn. In one picture, Harry was seen gently kissing her forehead. There were also plenty of pictures of baby Lilibet sleeping close to her mum.

Lilibet's first photo

Fans were given a treat for Christmas in 2021 as Meghan and Harry shared the first picture of their baby daughter. The youngster appeared in a sweet family snap for their 2021 Christmas card.

Lilibet's big brother Prince Archie was also in the family portrait as he sat on his dad's lap. In the card, the Sussexes wrote: "This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world. Archie made us a 'Mama' and a 'Papa', and Lili made us a family."

The cute family picture was taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski at Meghan and Harry's California home. Meghan was seen holding Lilibet in the air, with the tot smiling back at her mum.

Lilibet's first birthday

Lilibet spent her first birthday in the UK as she joined her parents and brother for the late Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Her family held an intimate backyard picnic at Frogmore Cottage to celebrate.

Photographer Misan Harriman was one of the few people on the guestlist. He shared snaps from the party on social media and said it was a "privilege" to have attended the party.

Misan wrote: "It was such a privilege to celebrate the 1st birthday of Lilibet with my family and hers! Joy and face painting all around!"

Meghan and Harry live in a mansion in Montecito, California, with their two children. They gave fans an insight into their home life in their Netflix docuseries.

In one sweet moment, Meghan was seen walking with Lilibet in their back garden. The duch*ess of Sussex held onto her daughter's arms as she walked across the grass.

4th of July parade

The Duke and duch*ess of Sussex moved to America in 2020 and quickly settled in. Three years after their big move, the couple were spotted watching the July 4 parade close to their home in California.

A video was shared on social media by a fellow visitor and showed Meghan crouched down next to Lilibet, who was busy waving flags in each hand. Harry was also spotted waving to the passing vehicles as he chatted to some friends.
