The LaPorte County Historical Society Museum is planning a Trail Creek history exhibit and a car show in July.
The Trail Creek History Pop-Up will run from July 2 through July 31 at the three-story history museum at 2405 Indiana Ave., Suite. 1.
"Learn about Trail Creek in the sixth of our 'Towns of LaPorte County Pop-Up' exhibits. Highlights include influential residents, local businesses, and the Battle of Trail Creek," LaPorte County Historical Society Museum Assistant Director Savannah Jackson said.
There will be a free admission day for Trail Creek residents.
"All Trail Creek residents will receive Free Admission to the Museum on Saturday, July 13. Come see the Trail Creek Pop-Up exhibit to learn more about your town," Jackson said.
The 16th annual Old Car Show will take place on July 20. It costs $20 to enter the car show, which displays vehicles that are at least 30 years old.

Car show participants get dash plaques and can compete for various awards and trophies.
Food trucks and vendors will be on hand.
Tickets for the general public cost $3, while it's free for kids under the age of 18 years old and LaPorte County Historical Society members. It includes admission to the local history museum.
It showcases a number of exhibits, such as period rooms that show what daily life was like in different eras and a recreation of serial killer Belle Gunness's farm that's complete with a human skull of one of her victims. The museum displays vintage cars such as a DeLorean of "Back to the Future" fame, an antique weapons collection, fossils and the mechanical Otto Giese miniature church that was crafted by a soldier during World War II who promised while praying that he’d make something special for the community if he survived the Battle of the Bulge, crafting a scale-model New England Gothic-style church with doll congregants that's often visited as a holiday ritual during the Christmas season.
